Search Topic: Presidency in EU

Where did you look: Google search

Search Terms: Czech presidency EU

Results:I wanted to go back at least for 3 terms in the EU history of the presidency, so I searched for the one before the Swedish. I found the official site that was created for the Czech presidency:http://www.eu2009.cz/en. The site is useful to learn what their priorities were, and what they worked on for the 6 month term. However, I found the website to be too general. There are not enough details, and references to articles or news events. While I was there, I also checked out the French website that was created for the presidency: http://www.eu2008.fr/PFUE/lang/en/accueil.html. In both cases the websites summarized well what the goals were for the half year terms and what they managed to accomplish. It also talks about how those original priorities were shifted once the economic and financial crisis hit. For general understanding of the trio presidency and their goals it was good to come across these sites, but I won't be citing anything from here in my policy paper.
