Information: This was one of the first articles that I found on the topic of organic markets in the EU and US. It contains statistics on the quantity of land under organic cultivation as well as statistics on retail sales.

Information: I was able to find this longer paper written by the same authors of the above paper. It gives more details regarding the differences in the type of policies that have been enacted in the US and EU to support and manage organic agriculture.

Information: I found this article using Google Scholar and it is an article that my thesis advisor wrote. It contains some interesting information regarding the incentives that the US and EU governments give agricultural producers, specifically those that practice organic farming, in order for them to minimize negative environmental effects.
